Research Interests

Frontier research in earth system science, specifically in marine science, atmospheric science and earth surface processes. The facility is dedicated to cross-disciplinary studies in the physical, chemical and biological interactions among the atmosphere, ocean and land, thus providing solid scientific support for marine dynamics and ecosystem simulation, biogeochemistry-driven material and energy cycles in man-made and natural environments, further promoting the biogeochemical processes of estuaries and marine hypoxic areas, as well as the study of basin-wide chemical, hydrological, energetic and ecological linkages of the land-atmosphere-ocean continuum.
